Daily Musings: Weaving

A weaving shuttle I made from a spatula.

Daily Musings – it has a Photo, a Mood, a Food, a Fitness Report, a Musing, a Read, a Fashion Update and a Fun Fact about me. What more could you need from the Internet? Don't forget to subscribe if you want to get updates.

Date: 10/30/14 7:20 P.M. Thursday

Mood: Productive
Eats: Spaghetti with sausage as soon as I make it.

Fitness: Does walking in circles around my huge yard count?

Musing:  Every time I sit down to work on crafts, the new kitty has to be right in the middle of it all. I don't mind so much if it is just knitting, but when I'm sawing or using a Dremel I don't want a blob of black fur and claws landing in the middle of it all.

Reading: I'm Halfway through with Night Myst which is also by Yasmine Galenorn and I realized another novel was due first so I'm reading that one as well.

Magic to the Bone

Fashion Update:  The only person who saw me today was my boyfriend. How weird is that? So I didn't do anything as far as fashion goes.

Fun Fact about me: I love to cook comfort foods.

The Mad Potter of Biloxi George Ohr

I found out about this potter on the Antiques Road Show and looked him up on the internet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_E._Ohr

According to the Antique Roadshow he was quite a character. He built his own kiln, had arms to rival Popeyes, and dug his own clay. He called his pots his mud babies. After a fire destroyed his studio, he went in and rescued his pots from the fire. He called the ones he saved his 'burnt babies'.

Fashion Island

Today was a wonderful day. My daughter came to visit and we squeezed in a photo jaunt at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Here are some of the over 104 photos I took.

Then while she was in a meeting, I went to the Newport Beach Public Library and found a gem of a used bookstore inside. I bought about 10 books, and the total was a mere $11. Woo hoo.

Then I had lunch at Baja Fresh. Then we went to Art Supply Warehouse on the way home. What a fabulous day.
