Daily Musings: Archibald's

 

This is the sunrise that greeted me this morning.

Date: Tuesday 11/19/14 5:23 P.M. Warm days. Cold nights.

Mood: Frustrated. I've lost the laundry room keys. I don't know where else to look.

Eats: Archibald's in Victorville has the best corndogs I've ever eaten.

Fitness: I should be working out right now.

Musing: Have you ever noticed when you are talking to someone and they just zone out.  I felt like saying 'and then pink elephants flew in and finished my knitting  project' just to see if they'd go 'what?'

Reading: Finished Magic to the Bone last night. Now I need to finish Accidental Genie.

Fun Facts About Me: My grandson is turning 4. I call him gingersnap because he has red hair.

Mood: Troubled

Eats: I had my favorite pineapple teriyaki burger at Carl's Jr.

Fitness: I should be working out right now.

Musing: Sharing problems with a friend  helped me to see things more clearly.

Fashion Update: Brrr it is chilly. Worked on knitting a warm slouch cap today.

Date: 11/06/14 8:52 A.M. There's a nip in the air but the sun is shining.

Mood: Motivated to get a lot done today.

Eats: Starting the Paleo diet again. I hope it goes better this time.

Fitness: Knife throwing.

Musing: I'm working on a poetry Nanowrimo as well as a novel. I'm getting frustrated with how inefficient I am at managing my time. I spent way too much time last night talking to a hypnosis client. He wanted a session but it was inconvenient for me, but it would have been quicker in hindsight to have just done the session. While I was chatting I got nothing else done. Hence I'm way behind on my writing goals. 

Reading: The Accidental Genie.

Fashion Update:  I got a great book at the used bookstore yesterday called 200 Projects to Get You Into Fashion Design.  It is done in numbered challenges. So I have so many ideas to do now but not much time to do them in.

Fun Face About Me: I like bright colors. It is always my default. I can only do other colors if I make a conscience effort to do so.

Date: 10/24/14 1 P.M. Friday Perfect sunshiny day.

Mood:  Groggy. Must be afternoon Siesta time.

Eats: Eating Halloween jelly beans.

Fitness: Feeling physically Pfffffffttttttttt.

Musing: If I need to be needed does that make me needy?

Reading:Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn. Almost done and ready for the sequel.

Fun Fact about me: I have over 65 tarot decks I got as research for making my own and writing a book about it. I still haven't made my own or written a book about it.

And The Archery Field Was Overrun

I was right about ready to turn off my computer and crawl into bed when I remember my committment to do this daily journaling. Granted it's almost 1 AM it's close enough.

Today when we got to the archery range, there was a huge archery tournament going on. There were more cars than parking spaces and they were parked all over the grass. The grass is the area our organizer had paid the city a fee to reserve for us for our knitting, juggling,& archery event. She got there around 9 AM to set up and there was just no way we'd be able to use the area and move all those cars. And even if we could get them to leave the grass, there'd be no parking spaces for all the knitters, jugglers and so forth to park from our group.

And the only reason I got my boyfriend to drive me there was so he could do archery. The archery that wasn't going to happen now. Because the club of archers had rented the entire range.

Our leader had driven down the horseshoe shaped narrow road and found us a spot in another part of the park near restrooms. She did the best she could but there was only parallel parking and some of the spinners had to lug their spinning wheels a very far way.

But once we got all settled we managed to have a very good time anyway. We had contests, and a raffle and lots of eating and hooping. I juggled but no one else did. I guess the jugglers took their party elsewhere, maybe to the park in Irvine.

I won some yarn and stitch markers in the raffle.

My friend is going to try to get a refund for the reserved spot we got kicked out of. No way she should have to pay if she couldn't use that spot.
